Zone Conference and Breaking Walls

July 15, 2019

Heyo!
This week we had zone conference, which was so fun and uplifting! One thing I loved was this statement: the Bible teaches of the life of Christ, and the Book of Mormom teaches of the love of Christ and His Atonement. This is so true! I have loved reading the Book of Mormon during my mission and I will finish it this week! It truly testifies of the love of Christ, and brings the fullness of peace! I of course love seeing all the other missionaries around me at our conferences, and the food provided, but the learning and Spirit is so refueling!

We went to an appointment this week that didn't end up happening, and one of their relatives was on the porch and asked about our church. She grew up in a Gospel choir and both of her grandparents are pastors in Southern Wisconsin. She loved hearing about Jesus and her mood completely lifted when we talked about scriptures and our Savior! Keep her in your prayers so we can start teaching her!

We served a lady we are teaching this week, and we broke down a wall in her kitchen! Taking a hammer to a wall is oddly fun and satisfying: I think I have a new hobby. There was dry wall dust everywhere, chunks of the wall were flying across the room, and we were all laughing so hard. We helped a family in our ward pack and clean their home since they're moving to Utah, and it was so fun serving them and getting to know them! An older lady in our ward that's trying to move to Utah has us over to help her alot, and she has a life size cardboard cutout of one of the Packers players haha. She is definitely their BIGGEST fan. We left a cute origami dress card that our Mission Presidents mother in law makes at the Swahili families home, keep then in your prayers as well!

We've went to a few places this week that have driven us right by Lake Winnebago, which is so pretty!! As always, we've also met lots of interesting people this week, some Vietnamese people thought we needed help cause they don't know English, one shirtless man buzzed us into his own apartment (which is a long hilarious story), and don't go to gas stations on a Sunday even if you have to pee hahaha (seriously the worst idea). We went bowling for pday, and I watched with joy haha.

So many tender mercies are happening everywhere! Prayer is a powerful tool, and exercising your faith brings so much power into our prayers! Just like how the Brother of Jared exercised the strongest faith and was able to see the impossible happen through Heavenly Father! I love testifying of the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ, and I know it truly blesses us! I hope you're all well! Make good choices and remember what you stand for.

Love,
Sister Davis
