Hello!
This week was a very productive and busy time, which is always fun! Happy day of liberty/birth to America! I don't know where people go on the 4th of July cause they aren't outside and they aren't home haha. But those who were home are super kind! We met a young mom that was so excited to see us, she works for her church but loves what we do! It was so so hot and humid, and she gave us red, white, and blue popsicles, so that's a miracle haha. We did some Jesus chalk drawing at the park. Sister Pemberton attempted to make her own firework, with a flashlight shining through a sticky note haha. We had cheese curds at a fun circus themed place which is of course healthy in all ways!
One of the members in our ward told us about a family she has seen around, so we stopped by them and they immediately let us in! The mom mainly speaks Swahili so her children translated. We were able to get her the Book of Mormon app in Swahili on her phone and we are so excited to teach them!! Keep them in your prayers! Hopefully I can learn a little Swahili soon, I am studying a few random languages off and on so life is exciting haha.
We had a couple lessons throughout the week, and I went to Oshkosh for a day which was so fun! The first person we met was looking for a church! We painted some old ladies nails for service which is always a fun time! Yesterday we met some very interesting and passionate people, which just made me laugh cause they were trying to be rude but I thought it was funny. We met a really nice man yesterday who is interested and I'm so excited! The work is slow here but we are determined to do all we can for this area!
On Wednesday we met our new mission president, President Murphy, and his family! They are so kind and fun! I am so excited to be in the Milwaukee mission! I love Wisconsin, even though it's more humid than life. I had my first 4 for $4 at Wendy's this week haha. We love cheap stuff. Also, made a friend with this inch worm that was on my foot, so I'm a proud parent now. Also have a pet succulent that's chugging away beautifully.
I hope you all are doing amazing! Pray always, be believing, study from the Book of Mormon - it holds so many truths that bring the most sure peace!
Let me know if there's anything I can do for any of you!
Make good choices.
Love, your favorite, obviously,
Sister Davis
