Baptism in Neenah & Mini Exchanges

February 24 2020

Hello! This last Saturday the 2 little kids I taught in Neenah were baptized! I wasn't up there, but I am so proud and excited for them😁😊 Little children really do have amazing spirits! I've been sketching pictures of Christ throughout the week and it has been amazing to use those talents to strengthen my own testimony!

This week we went on exchanges with our Sister Training Leaders, both of whom I have been companions with in the past haha. So Sister Pemberton came here to Dodgeville with me for the day! Well, once we picked them up from Madison she got sick on the hour long drive home. So we couldn't do anything. So we studied and I showed her the Masonic Lodge for exchanges and we exchanged back early so we could work still in our area haha. It was still fun though! Lots of opportunities to grow and serve😊
Sister Larson and I spent some time practicing burning a tea bag for an object lesson, and we burned our hands a lot😂

Want to know the rollercoaster life of a missionary?? That amazing family we found a couple weeks ago, is being moved by their work to Florida today!? We prayed so hard and so often that they could stay. Their plans fluctuated a lot but we were able to visit them again and are excited to keep in contact and get them in touch with missionaries in florida:) Even though i am devastated, I am much more grateful that I was able to cross paths with them. I am already in love with their family - their southern politeness is beyond compare, and they said if we ever come to the south we can hit them up:) How sweet. Our lovely vehicle coordinator and his wife came through Dodgeville and took us out to dinner (part 1, we had another dinner right after😂) at Bob's Bad Word BBQ. Then the next morning they dropped off oranges outside our door before they left town.

Our district council was held at the senior couples home last minute, so it was a tender meeting of goodbyes as they head home to Hawaii! We also got a couple more Spanish speaking people sent to us by some other missionaries, so it looks like we'll be tag teaming a few Spanish speakers with the hermanas! I better learn more Spanish I suppose. We had dinner with a member this week who made apple cider using the water from her keurig, and sometimes she makes coffee for guests in that keurig I guess... And my drink definitely smelled and tasted like coffee... And I think I'm allergic to coffee now. So.

P. S. I am Sister Larsons 9th companion and she's 18 months in and finishing her mission, and she's my 9th companion and I'm just halfway... Haha, yay for friends. Our district went to some caves today for pday, so enjoy those pictures as well!

I love this Gospel, I love the knowledge that I have a Savior who loves me and is the same as He has always been and that His Gospel is the same as well! I am so grateful for the faith of Joseph Smith, and for the examples I have around me! Oh the joy the Gospel of Christ brings. I hope you all feel His love this week! And wherever you are, kneel and pray. It's amazing the power God gives us.

Love, Sister Davis
