Transfers Again What's up

August 12, 2019

Hello!
So, this week was just fantastic of course. Serving the Lord and testifying of the happiness of Christ's Gospel is purely a delight. I love studying the scriptures, especially the very true Book of Mormon that is inspired by God. I love how it testifies of Christ on every page, and teaches me how to fully follow Christ's example so I can have pure happiness for eternity! I am so grateful I chose to serve a mission so I can experience so many tender mercies, miracles, and moments that will forever change me for the better!

So, after my first transfer here in good ole Appleton, I am getting transferred! Haha I am just moving around like something that moves around a lot (like the earth around the sun, or a squirrel, either one). I am nervous of course, but excited to go where the Lord needs me! I'm going to be in the same district, in Winnebago YSA!! I am so excited because I love YSA so much!

We taught an amazing lesson yesterday to a guy who already has fallen in love with the Book of Mormon! He came to church last week, we met him, taught him yesterday, and he loves it! He is so prepared and I am so excited for my companions to continue teaching him of Heavenly Father's love! We visited lots of members this week, and it is so much fun getting to know their families! They are such a light, I love how this Gospel blesses and strengthens families!

We just serve like crazy and meet neat people all day. It is a true party in Wisconsin. We went to a baseball game today as a zone which was a swell time. I'm probably allergic to mosquitoes. We mad cookies at 9pm this week. I am sarcastic and funny per usual. We had dinner last night with a hilarious family, it felt like home haha. Have a fantastic week! Pray a lot. Seriously. It helps.  And I love you all!

Make good choices.

Serving and Thriving

August 5, 2019

This week has been full of many opportunities to serve around here! Last week we met a lady named Sunshine - her friends call her that because the SON shines through her. And boy is she fun. We helped her pack and move her things for a couple days and I loved getting to know her and her friends! Her joy amazes me, through all her rough patches she is still so selfless and kind! We made cookies for the neighbors we helped cut down trees for - to say thanks for letting us help - and we were able to briefly help some other neighbors around with last minute clean up! We help one of the members clean up at her home every week and we got to see her baking turtle (from a snapping turtle in her pond) and we got to carry many buckets of water from her pond which is always an exciting work out. We also got to help the Sister that loves the Packers again, and at this point I call her grandma and I have inherited one of her paintings of which I am most excited. I love serving and meeting people, so much!

We had interviews this week and I love talking with President and Sister Murphy! They are just as amazing as everyone has said they would be! There was an article about how people would pay to have President Murphy be their childrens Mission President - and I am so so happy and lucky that he's mine! He exceeds all kindness and wisdom. They are such a fun family! My companions had a conference all day last week so that meant that I got to spend all day in Oshkosh with other Sisters whom I love! Oshkosh is a poppin place - they have an annual airplane show, we met a fun man who showed us his pet rats, and I ate a jalapeno bagel guacomole sandwich. Later in the week my companions had calls to do so I read the Infinite Atonement some more - super recommend still cause it is AMAZING - and I indexed! Which I love doing. Some members in another ward have had us over for dinner and it has been so great to get to know them and be fed! As much as I like cooking, it is nice to not have to worry about that on a mission sometimes.

I have been studying the Book of Mormon deeper, which means lots of dictionaries, footnotes, references, talks, the whole shebang. And it is so good! I understand a lot more on a deeper level about Christ and just how dang much we are loved! I watched The Testaments for the first time and it helped put the Book of Mormon into reality so much! I love how much we know about the Gospel Christ taught, I love that we have it today, and I love to study it and live it!!

I love being on a mission and I LOVE Wisconsin. People are amazing and the church is so true. I hope you all have a great week. Make good choices. Keep thriving. Keep persevering. Happy times are just ahead. The night is darkest just before dawn. I love you all. And so does your Heavenly Father.

Here's some memories from this week, namely a John Wayne cutout that would make my father proud, service times, and some depiction of Lifting Where You Stand that I drew this week.

Me, a Lumberjack

July 29, 2019

Hello everybody!
This week, post tornado week, consisted of many service opportunities! First I learned that tornadoes suck the humidity out of the air for a few days - of which I was so excited about and grateful for (no scientific evidence or facts there, just what occurred). We cleaned up the yard and trees at our church building and on our way home we saw Ellen and her husband so we stopped and lo and behold, they have two 47 year old apple trees that came down in the storm. So we helped them move all the debris and pick up alllll the apples to throw away:/ we went back the next morning and were able to help them clean up their elderly neighbors yard! He lost 7 or 8 giant trees, it took a few hours, but we cleaned it all up. They were so grateful and I loved being outside and helping them. A few other neighbors came and helped clear it all to the road, and we got lunch out of it! We got a few return appointments that day as well, and we are excited to meet with them!

Another day we were walking around, and no one was home per usual here in Appleton. I saw a house with a minivan and basketball hoop and wanted to go there, but told the Spirit no because it was early and I wasn't ready to be told no this early (never postpone a spiritual prompting). We were walking away from the house and I blurted out that we should go to that house. I wasn't planning on saying anything so props to the Holy Ghost for taking control. A lady holding a newborn answered and said she had to put him down for a nap, and the baby started smiling so big! We talked with her and she was so kind and said we can come back when he's not napping! I am so so excited to go back and meet with her!! It was such a cool experience!

I love being able to meet new people, and do all I can in Appleton, even if nothing big is happening right now. Everyone in Appleton is also in jail or on parole, so pray for this city haha. I have had so many amazing study experiences this week! I have learned so much about the Lord's plan, for example in 1 Nephi, Laban wasn't delivered into their hands the first time! Because they needed to learn patience, trust, and keep on trying. I am so overwhelmed with my Savior's love. I'm also reading The Infinite Atonement, and it strengthens my testimony and love for Heavenly Father's plan so much! I invite you all to read it! I know that Heavenly Father loves us so purely, and we don't understand all things now, but I am so excited to live this life and strive to do all that He knows I am here for! I am anxious to return to my Heavenly Father's merciful arms one day, and I am so honored to be able to express this joy and testimony everyday in missionary work!

Continue to invite all your friends to come unto Christ with you, even in simple ways. You would be amazed how many people go to a specific church just because their friends go. You are so influential! Pray often, be believing, and know that everything you need is right in front of you in this Gospel! I know that the Gospel Jesus Christ taught and established on Earth is here today as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. God is the same yesterday, today, tomorrow, and forever - and He wants us to choose Him!

I hope you all are doing amazing, I love hearing from each of you. As always and forever, if you need anything, please let me know!

p.s. I tell so many dad jokes so it stays lively around here

YOUR Heavenly Father loves you,
I love you,
I seriously love you.
